Today was gloomy. Rainy, grey, windy, cold…not a day during which I particularly wanted to do anything.
I did manage to drag myself out of the house for a few hours, to sit and drink tea with my co-workers. (My director was in meetings in Tbilisi today, so with no threat of her dropping by there wasn’t much work being done.) But I excused myself around 2:00 because I knew my host mom was making some delicious rainy-day food.
Thanks to Georgia’s first capital city, Mtskheta, we have the day off tomorrow (it’s Mtskhetoba!), so our weekend is off to a good, although perhaps unhealthy, start. We’re hoping for at least one sunny day so we can head to Borjomi Park for a hike…but staying inside with movies, hot beverages and more of our host mom’s comfort food doesn’t sound too rough either. Happy weekend, friends!

Sounds like a wonderful weekend! It’s finally cool enough here it feels like fall (which is when I can make ALL my favorite comfort food), and I’m thinking this sounds like a good plan. Perhaps after I fall off my roof from cleaning out my gutters
Love to you!
Be careful! Sean and I were talking today about how you managed to score neighbor kids to rake your leaves. That never happened to us! Maybe you can promise the kids comfort food if they tackle your gutters.
Happy weekend, guys! And happy Mtskhetoba! Miss you tons!
Miss you too dear!
