Earlier this week I was worried I’d be sad (see previous post) on my birthday, but today I’ve been anything but. My host family, friends, co-workers and Sean (with help from many of you!) have made this a really, really special birthday. I feel so happy and loved. Thank you, friends and family – you made my first Georgian birthday great.
I woke up to a birthday cake from my host mom, followed by this video that I have literally watched ten times today (including the individual videos in full, as Sean had to edit some for flow). It took me until the sixth time not to tear up. I’ve shown it to several Georgians and they’ve all remarked how many friends I have and how great the present was. True, true!
Without further ado, here is the video – Sean’s birthday present for me. Thank you, Sean, and thank you, everyone! This means so much to me.

ok, I do not know ANY of those people but the video made me cry….great work Sean. I guess I miss my friends adn family sooo too and I am so happy for you! ANd yes, there were a crazy number of cats in that video
A week later, it STILL makes me cry. Honestly probably one of the best gifts I’ve ever received. Glad you enjoyed!
BTW-the ratio of humans to cats in this video was frightening. Why doesn’t anyone have dogs anymore?
When I showed this to my host mom, she said, “You have many friends. And your friends have many cats.” So true!
at the risk of making this about me, really YouTube? THAT is the screen freeze it chose? REALLY?
Happy Birthday, McK!!!
I know…and I promise it was totally random! Ah, well. Makes the video look fun at least.
Now I know what I want for my birthday, but I don’t know if I could get all those people to do it!
Love you. Glad my wacky kids could be forced to participate.
So happy you’re having a great birthday and so glad you have such a great husband who does the creative and wonderful things you deserve
Thank you, Amanda! I am lucky, for lots of reasons.

Thanks, Ivy. I am pretty blown away by it too! Really love it. Thanks for the birthday wishes!
That was a lot of cats!
Nice work, Sean (and everyone else). Happy birthday, McKinze!
Thank you so much, Trev! I love your birthday song with Will. You have one cute child there.
I showed my host mom and she said, “You have many friends and many friends with cats.” So true!
this is just fantastic. i LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!!
Me too! Thank you for the improvised subway song (Sean told me about the choir file, boo!) and the original song on your blog! Love them both, and love you.
